289 coronavirus suspected samples tested but only six of them positive: Zafar
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant on Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza said that 289 coronavirus suspected samples were tested but only six of them were positive.
Speaking to the journalists, Dr Zafar Mirza has reiterated the government's commitment to save public from the Coronavirus outbreak. He expressed the commitment during his surprise visit to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
The special assistant said the government is working closely with provincial governments under the National Action Plan to cope with the coronavirus outbreak.
He said 289 suspected samples were tested but only six of them were positive so far and one of these patients has fully recovered now.
Earlier, Dr Zafar Mirza confirmed the sixth case of the coronavirus in Pakistan. He also said that the patient is in clinically stable condition in Sindh and is being well taken care of.
