29 wings of civil armed forces to be formed for border management, internal security

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A high-level meeting presided over by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to form the 29 wings of civil armed forces for border management and internal security. National Security Adviser Nasser Khan Janjua will lead the task force. The task force will soon start monitoring the National Action Plan. It will strengthen coordination for intelligence sharing between provinces and security institutions. The meeting also reviewed the progress on implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP). The task force will also include secretary Interior, Director General NACTA, all provincial chief secretaries, IGPs and some secretaries. They will also be assisted by a representative from each of the intelligence agencies, while the military will be represented by DG Military Operations.
