2nd block of phase-I under population census begins today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The population and household count in the second block of the phase one under the 6th population and housing census in 63 districts across the country has begun today (Friday).

The house listing in the second block will remain continue for three days while the headcount will begin from April 3 which will continue till April 13.

The First Phase includes sixteen districts in Punjab, eight in Sindh, fourteen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, fifteen in Balochistan and five each in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Earlier, addressing the media in Islamabad, the Chief Census Commissioner Asif Bajwa said that the house listing operation in the second block of phase one will start today and continue for three days.

He said the population and household count of the second block will be held from 3rd to 12th of the next month. He said the homeless people in the second block will be counted on 13th April.
