LAHORE (92 News) – As many as 32 children tested positive for COVID-19 during the first three days of the opening of schools across Punjab province. The Primary and Secondary Healthcare spokesman said that 24 children had tested positive for coronavirus in Gujranwala, seven in Nankana Sahib, a child and a school employee in Bhakkar, a school employee in Lodhran. He said that 14,746 samples from government schools and 1,566 from private schools had been taken so far. As many as 13,796 samples have been tested and COVID-19 has been confirmed in 34 children, he disclosed. The spokesman said that schools would be closed for five days after confirmation of coronavirus in more than two children. He added that coronavirus tests are being conducted after contact tracing of the families of the affected children.
