320 people, out of 380, tested negative for coronavirus in Punjab: Dr Yasmin Rashid

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that 320 people, out of 380, have tested negative for coronavirus in the province. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, she said that the people who tested positive and negative have been segregated. “The price of a coronavirus test is Rs7,900, but the government is conducting it free,” she said. Dr Yasmin Rashid urged the people to stay at their homes. “The situation will change daily. The people should stay at their homes otherwise the government will be forced to clamp lockdown which will cause a loss to everyone,” she decalred. She said that 5,000 more people, including students and devotees, would enter Pakistan next week. “The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has risen to 78. Over 500 isolation rooms have been formed across the province,” she added. The minister said that more isolation centres are being established in teaching hospitals. “Arrangements have been made for coronavirus patients in Lahore PKLIR, Rawalpindi Urology Centre, Multan and DG Khan. We are preparing a new place comprising of 1,000 beds,” she added. She said that there is a Level III laboratory at Shaukat Khanum Hospital and a half of kits have been given to it. “Shaukat Khanum Hospital laboratory is conducting free tests,” she said.
