34 new cases of dengue reported in federal capital during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Dengue has become uncontrollable in the federal capital. More 34 dengue cases were reported in Islamabad during last 24 hours.

According to the District Health Officer, 16 cases of dengue were reported in rural areas of Islamabad and 18 in urban areas yesterday. The total number of dengue cases in rural areas rose to 2,959 and in urban areas to 2,147.

According to DHO, dengue virus was confirmed in 18 people in PIMS Hospital, four people in Federal General Hospital Chak Shahzad and eight people in private laboratories of the city.

On the other hand, 173 cases of dengue were reported in Lahore during last 24 hours.

According to Secretary Health Punjab, 94 cases were reported from Lahore, 16 from Sheikhupura, 14 from Gujranwala and 12 from Sargodha. 10 cases have been reported from Faisalabad, 6 from Multan, while 4 from Sialkot.
