352 lawmakers among electricity bills defaulters

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 352 parliamentarians including Senate Deputy Chairman Maulana Ghafoor Haideri, Maulana Attaur Rehman and Sirajul Haq are one of the biggest defaulters of electricity bills. According to a list released, the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) pointed around 352 lawmakers who failed to clear their dues worth billions of rupees. According to the documents, 322 members of the National Assembly failed to pay their electricity bills worth Rs 13 million while, 38 members of the Senate didn’t pay their electricity bills worth Rs 2.8 million. On the other hand, 30 members of National Assembly have not paid their electricity bills for the last 14 years. The national assembly who have not paid their electricity bills for the last 14 years include Shah Abdul Aziz, Pir Aslam Bodla, Ramesh Lal, Shagufta Jamani, Iqbal Muhammad Ali, Nabeel Gabol, Nawab Yousaf Talpur.
