ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Interior Minister Ch Nisar has said that it is wrong that the Army imposed the Zarb-e-Azb. Speaking on the floor of the National Assembly on Wednesday, he said that the prime minister held several meetings before the operation, decision on it was made in May and the operation was launched in June. The minister said that the operation was launched with the consensus of all political parties. “I had to appreciate Asif Zardari for first and last time over the issue of national unity,” he said. He said that 35 million computerized national identity cards (CNICs) have been verified so far. Ch Nsiar said that hundreds of fake identity cards had been issued. “We cancelled passports of 29,000 Pakistanis. The CNIC of the figure killed in the drone attack was prepared in Pakistan,” he said.
