36 more Omicron cases reported in Punjab: Health Department

LAHORE (92 News) – Thirty-six more cases of Omicron have been reported in Punjab, increasing the tally to 117.

In Lahore, the spread rate of Omicron has been recorded at 40 percent. So far 117 cases of Omicron have been reported in the city.

According to statistics available with the Health Department, 15 percent people contracting Omicron have been admitted to hospitals. Out of the Omicron patients, 60 percent were women while 40 percent were men.

About 68 percent people affected by the Omicron variant were aged 19-49. Fourteen percent people testing Omicron positive were 14, while above 50 were 18 percent.

In Lahore, 117 Omicron cases have been confirmed after gene sequencing.
