37 terrorists killed in shootout across the country

KARACHI (92 News) – Security forces have on Friday gunned down at least 37 terrorists in encounters and search operations in different parts of the country following the suicide attack on the premises of Lal Shahbaz Shrine, which left around 74 and 200 others injured. In a statement issued by the Sindh Rangers spokesman, the paramilitary forces personnel were returning from Sehwan Sharif when the terrorists opened firing near Kathor on Super Highway, in retaliation seven terrorists were killed on the spot, while one Rangers personnel injured. On the other hand, at least 11 terrorists were killed, while three paramilitary force personnel injured during a search operation in Manghopir area. In Bannu, security forces killed four terrorists in a raid on their hideout at Bakakhel. Three others were killed in Regi area of Peshawar during a search operation. In Quetta, security forces shot dead two terrorists of a banned organization during a combing operation on eastern bypass near Saryab Road. In another encounter in Mohmand Agency, a terrorist was killed in an encounter. A security personnel was also martyred. Arms and ammunitions were also recovered from the possession of terrorists. Earlier, as many as 72 people were martyred while over 200 others, including women and children, were injured in a suicide attack on the premises of Lal Shahbaz Shrine. The Sehwan DHO said that 12 women and two children are among the martyrs. The spokesman for the Sindh police said that the suicide bomber entered the shrine from the Golden Gate. Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah phoned IGP Sindh AD Khwaja. He declared an emergency in the hospitals of Hyderabad.
