Around 400 dengue cases reported in Karachi during last 24 hours

KARACHI (92 News) - A sharp increase has been witnessed in the dengue cases in Karachi.

During the last 24 hours, around about 400 cases have been reported in the city. As per the break-up, 276 cases were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 215 cases in Punjab province, 68 in Islamabad. The total number of the affected people is 1,456.

District Health Officer Dr. Zaeem Zia said that operations are needed throughout the year to prevent people from dengue. Citizens have to play their role and it has to be ensured that dengue larvae are not allowed to form in houses, shops and neighborhoods.

On the other hand, Focal Person of PIMS for dengue prevention Dr. Shafat Khatoon said that they are trying their best to provide facilities to the patients. The month of September and October is the favorite season of dengue in which the number of cases increases.
