4000kg kheer prepared in Gujranwala on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)

GUJRANWALA (92 News) – In connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), 4000KG kheer is prepared in Gujranwala to celebrate the birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Special conferences, events and Mahaafil-e-Milaad are being arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose life and teachings are beacon of light for the whole mankind. However, 100 maund kheer preparations were started in the neighboring village of Sheikhpura. Dozens of people participated in the preparations of kheer. The Kheer prepared overnight and are being distributed in the morning. 2800kg milk, 400kg of Khoa, 200kg dry fruits, 600kg sugar and rice were used in the preparation of kheer. The purpose of the 100 maund kheer is to celebrate the birthday of Hazrat (PBUH) and distribute sweet dish on this event. Meanwhile, 400kg cake was cut in Muridke. 125 maund milkshake was prepared for the procession participants in Mandi Bahauddin. Rahim Yar Khan is also preparing a 600-pound cake.

Muslims taken out Eid-Milad-un-Nabi festival procession

The occasion will witness the emergence of various processions in the city. The main procession, organised by Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), will be taken out from every city of the country. In relevance to the occasion, buildings and mosques have been illuminated with decorative lights and arrangements for the day have been finalised by all Milad committees in the city. As part of the celebrations, arrangements have been made for the recitation of the Quran and prayers at several mosques, in addition to the recitals of naats and Qaseeda Burda Shareef. Moreover, various programmes and conferences, including Seerat-un-Nabi Conference, have been organised to highlight the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and honour him. Various prominent personalities, including scholars and politicians, have expressed their love for the prophet, stressing that importance of following his example, speaking in relevance to the occasion.
