402 new dengue cases reported in Punjab during last 24 hours

LAHORE (92 News) – As many as 402 new cases of dengue were reported across the Punjab during the last 24 hours.

According to a report, 319 cases were reported in Lahore, 42 in Rawalpindi, six in Attock and Okara, six in Bahawalnagar, four in Nankana and four in Faisalabad.

As many as 4,539 total dengue patients have been reported so far in Lahore. Due to increasing number of patients, hospitals are facing an acute shortage of beds.

Reacting to the worsening situation of dengue in Punjab, former MPA Uzma Bukhari said that province has been left on the mercy of the dengue epidemic.

Dengue paitients are being shifted to the corona ward. During this year, 6,189 confirmed cases of dengue have been reported in Punjab.
