QUETTA (Web Desk) - Forty two candidates from Balochistan have submitted their nomination papers for the Senate elections, 92 News reported.
The polling for 52 seats of the Upper House will be held on 5th of March.
National Party's Hasil Bizenjo, Pahstunkhwa Milli Awami Party's Usman Kakar, JUI-F's Maulana Ghafoor Haideri and Muslim League Nawaz's (PML-N) Yaqoob Nasir submitted their nomination papers for general seats.
For ullema and technocrat seats, JUI's Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, National Party's Kabir, PML-N's Naseebullah Bazai and Pashtunkhwa MAP's Dr Manaf Tarin submitted their papers while PML's Kulsoom Parveen, Gull Bushra of Pashtunkhwa MAP and National Party's Tahira Baloch have submitted their nomination papers for the seats reserved for women.
For minority seats, Pashtunkhwa MAP's Roshan Khurshid and National Party's Dr Ashok submitted their papers.
As per the ECP notification, scrutiny of nomination papers will be completed between February 16-17 while the candidates can file appeal against rejection of nomination papers between February 20 and 21.
Last date for withdrawal of candidature is set for February Feb 25.
