44 killed in terrorist attack on mosque in Niger
NIAMEY (92 News) At least 44 people were killed and many others injured in a terrorist attack on a mosque in the African country of Niger.
According to a foreign news agency, terrorists attacked a mosque in the rural town of Kokoro, Niger, on Friday.
The interior ministry of Niger said the terrorists carried out the attack in the afternoon when people were offering the Friday prayers in the mosque.
The terrorists surrounded the mosque and targeted people, and they also set fire to the local market and houses.
At least 44 people were killed and 13 people were injured in the terrorist attack.
The interior ministry expressed its determination to arrest the attackers and bring them to justice.
The government of Niger declared three days of mourning after the death of 44 civilians in the terrorist attack.
