484 new coronavirus cases reported during 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 news) - As many as 484 new cases of coronavirus reported in last 24 hours across Pakistan as the number of positive cases has surged to 298,509 on Sunday. According to the NCOC, Pakistan has reported two deaths and the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 6,342. As many as 285,898 patients have recovered from the coronavirus in the country with active cases going down to 6,269. 25,384 samples were tested over the past 24 hours, out of which 484 turned out to be positive. 1,025 patients are under treatment in 735 hospitals across the country, 85 of whom are on ventilators. Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad. Till now 130,483 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 97,166 in Punjab, 36,591 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,734 in Islamabad, 13,229 in Balochistan, 2,327 in Azad Kashmir and 2,979 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
