KARACHI (92 News) – At least 502 Pakistanis safely landed at the Karachi Airport on Sunday night by PIA flight PK-7002 from Yemeni city Al Hudaida. Jinnah International airport was flocked with relatives of the returnees, who waited for hours to see their loved ones. From government’s side PML-N MPA Humayun Khan welcomed the returning Pakistanis. As per the prime minister’s directions two jumbo jets of PIA, PK-7002 and PK-747, along with Airbus-310 were sent to Yemen to evacuate the entrapped Pakistani compatriots. Moreover, a Pakistan Navy ship also left for Yemen to bring back Pakistanis living in other cities. Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said that the ship holds the capacity to accommodate 200 people. According to unofficial estimates, 600 Pakistanis are stranded in the besieged Yemeni capital of Sanaa. Pakistan’s foreign ministry officials said around 2,145 Pakistanis are currently living in Yemen. “A plane will go to Moqallaa on Tuesday to bring Moqallaa and Aden evacuees,” according to Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam.
