53 more deaths reported due to coronavirus during last 24 hours, death toll increases to 13,377

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – As many as 53 more deaths were reported during the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 13,377.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre NCOC, about 2,258 new cases were reported in a single days across the country. As a result, total cases has reached at 597,497. The ratio of patients recovering from Covid-19 remained at 94.8 percent. Currently there are 17,628 active cases in the country.

According to the break-up, there are 260,406 cases in Sindh, 180,944 in Punjab, 74,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19,157 in Balochistan, 46,579 in Islamabad, 10,730 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 4,959 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

During the last 24 hours, 42,164 tests were conducted and 9,360,202 tests have been conducted so far.

Owing to a surge in the coronavirus cases, schools have been closed in seven cities of Punjab from March 15 to March 28.
