6 dead, 15 injured in restaurant gas explosion in east China

NANJING (92 News) – Six people were killed and 15 others injured in a restaurant gas explosion in east China's Jiangsu Province Sunday, local authorities said. The gas explosion happened at around 11am in a street food restaurant in Xishan District in the city of Wuxi, the city's publicity department said. A total of 15 people were sent to hospital for treatment, six of whom died. The nine injured are under stable condition. Further rescue work is underway.
