Senator Faisal Javed asks PCB to look into Mohammad Amir’s concerns
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan's close aide and Senator Faisal Javed has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to address the concerns of Mohammad Amir.
In a tweet, the senator said that Pakistan should not waste a talented player like Amir. He also suggested both the parties sit together to sort their differences.
Javed asked the cricketer to reconsider his decision to quit Test cricket, saying his age and form still suit him this very format. “No emotional decision please,” the senator tweeted.

Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi, Inzamamul Haq appealed to resolve the issue through mutual understanding, however, social media users expressed heir support for Mohammad Amir.
Yesterday, Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir was disheartened due to the treatment given by the management to him and continuous dropping from the national tours as he has decided to leave the cricket due to 'mental torture'.
Talking to the 92 News, the fast-bowler says he cannot play cricket due to the environment created by the current management. "I am leaving the world of cricket due to 'torture' and an environment created by the Pakistan team management that is pushing him away," he said.
"I wanted to play for Pakistan but mental torture is being given by the management so, I cannot continue with current setup anymore," he added.
He also maintained that he will formally announce his retirement by holding a press conference within two days.
It is pertinent to mention here that Amir had earlier retired from Test cricket, citing workload pressure and had made himself available for the limited-overs format.
In a video shared by sports journalist Shoaib Jatt, Amir explained his reasoning for leaving cricket. “I am not going away from cricket but I am being pushed away from it,” the left-arm pacer said, adding that an “environment” has been created for him to get “sidelined”.
“The environment that has been created, I feel that I cannot play cricket under this management,” said Amir.
The 28-year-old said he got a wake-up call once he was not named in the 35-man squad for the Pakistan tour to New Zealand.
“I feel that I am leaving cricket at this time because I am being mentally tortured,” said the pacer. He added that he “cannot survive this much torture” because he has already seen it from 2010 to 2015 when he was placed under a ban over a spot-fixing scandal.
Amir said he was being tortured by being told that the “PCB invested a lot” in him.
