740 MW Munda Dam to be built on River Swat with French aid

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Tuesday has granted approval for construction of Munda Dam on River Swat. As per details, France has agreed to provide financial assistance for the project which will have the capacity to generate 740 megawatts of electricity, besides irrigating over 15,000 acres of land in Mohmand Agency and Charsadda district. The dam will also help control floods.
