75th Independence Day, Grand Changing of Guards at Mazar-e-Quaid and Mazar-e-Iqbal

KARACHI/LAHORE (92 News) - The 75th Independence Day is being celebrated with enthusiasm across the country. Grand ceremonies of changing of the guards were held at Mazar-e-Quaid and Mazar-e-Iqbal.

A grand ceremony of changing of guards was held at Mazar-i-Quaid in Karachi. Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy Commodore Muhammad Khalid was the chief guest. Cadets of the Pakistan Naval Academy took over the duties of the honor guards.

A solemn ceremony of changing of guards was also held at Mazar-e-Iqbal in Lahore. Pakistan Army Major General Shahbaz Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony. Major General Shahbaz Khan offered flowers at the shrine. The squad of Pakistan Army took over the duties of guards at Mazar-e-Iqbal.

Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi laid wreath and unfurled the flag at Mazar-e-Iqbal.

Independence Day celebrations are being organized across the country. National flags are displayed on cities, streets and houses. President and Prime Minister have congratulated the entire nation on Independence Day.
