780th Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya starts in Multan

MULTAN (92 News) – The 780th Urs celebrations of one of the greatest saints of South Asia Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Mulatni started in Multan on Saturday. Sajjada Nasheen Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated the celebrations by performing ‘ghusal’ of the shrine. A National Zakariya Conference was held on the first day of the Urs. A large number of Ulema and devotees from across the country attended the conference. They prayed for prosperity and security of the country. Speaking at the first session of the conference, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi stressed the need for disseminating the saints’ teaching of love. “Prime Minister Imran Khan and entire nation is standing with the Kashmiris in their struggle of freedom. The curfew in Occupied Kashmir has entered 62nd day. Ill and injured Kashmiris are deprived of treatment and other basic amenities of life,” he said. He thanked Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar for approving expansion of shrines of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani, Hazrat Shah Ruknuddin Alam Soharwardy and Hazrat Bibi Pak Daman. He said that the foundation stone of Nishter-2 hospital project had been laid which will help provide latest treatment facilities to the people of Southern Punjab and Balochistan.
