977th annual Urs celebrations of Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh continue for second day

LAHORE (92 News) – The celebrations of 977th annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Ali Bin Usman Al-Hajveri also known as Data Gunj Bakhsh continued for the second day on Wednesday.

Thousands of devotees, Ulema and Mushaikh paid respect at the shrine of the great saint. Foolproof security arrangements have been made on the occasion.

On Tuesday, Punjab Minister for Auqaf Saeedul Hassan Shah had inaugurated the ceremonies with 'Chaddar Poshi'. After the inauguration of celebrations, the milk 'sabeel' was also opened.

The minister also launched a book published by the Auqaf Department.

Langar is being distributed among the devotees.

During the Urs, three SPs, seven DSPs and hundreds of policemen will perform duty. Walk-through gates, metal detectors and electric barriers have been installed for checking.

The administration has asked the devotees to wear masks and follow the SOPs.
