98 new cases of dengue reported in federal capital during last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - A sharp increase has been witnessed in the dengue cases in federal capital. 98 new cases of dengue have been reported during last 24 hours.

The District Health Officer said that 98 more people were diagnosed with dengue in the last 24 hours. 53 in rural areas, 45 cases were reported in urban areas, 31 at PIMS Hospital and five cases were reported in Federal General Hospital. Dengue virus has been confirmed in 48 people who came to private laboratories in the city.

DHO Islamabad said that the number of people affected by dengue has reached 4,195 in which 2,422 in rural areas while the number of cases in urban areas is 1,773. Doctors advised that citizens should take precautionary measures as the cases may increase further.
