Federal Cabinet approves launch of ferry service for Iran and Iraq

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Federal Cabinet, presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan, approved the launch of a ferry service for Iran and Iraq on Tuesday. The Defence Ministry, however, has already refused to issue a no-objection certificate (NOC) for the project. The forum also approved LNG Terminals for Port Qasim. Source said that the prime minister had taken the cabinet into confidence over the Karachi transformation plan. During the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed about the strategy for the approval of FATF bills and economic indicators. Meanwhile, the cabinet also endorsed the decisions taken by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) taken on August 27. It also approved the establishment of the Mass Transit Authority in the federal capital. The cabinet was also briefed on anti-encroachments drive on Margala Road. Under instructions from the Islamabad High Court, the Interior secretary presented the matter of the kidnap of Sajid Gondal before the cabinet.
