Aaqib Javed resigns as UAE coach, takes up role with Lahore Qalandars

LAHORE (92 News) – Former Test cricketer Aqib Javaid has on Wednesday resigned from his post as United Arab Emirates (UAE) coach after four years in charge and takes up a role with the Pakistan Super League franchise, Lahore Qalandars. The former Pakistan fast bowler joined the UAE in 2012 after previous roles within the PCB as head coach of their National Cricket Academy and assistant coach of the national team. Javed took the emirates outfit to a second 50-over World Cup and a first World T20 and will now leave with the team on the brink of securing their first professional contracts.
