QUETTA (92 News) – PML-N stalwart Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch and former Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri formally announced leaving the party.

Addressing a meeting of the estranged party leaders on Saturday, he said that he had decided to part ways with the PML-N after the PDM meeting. "I was phoned a day before the Quetta meeting and told not to let Nawab Sanaullah Zehri sit on the stage. When I asked the reason, I was told that it was the party decision," he added.

He said that Shehbaz Sharif had ignored his own party having 22 seats.

Abdul Qadir Baloch said that he could not think of supporting a group speaking against the Pak Army. "We will form a political strategy of Balochistan after consultations," he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanaullah Zehri said that he had joined the PML-N on the advice of Abdul Qadir Baloch. "I merged my party – Pakistan Parliamentarians – with the PML-N and told Nawaz Sharif that we want only respect," he added.

Meanwhile, Balochistan PML-N vice-president Nawab Shambazai, women wing president Amna Baloch, Makran Division president Agha Shah Hussain and other leaders also left the party.
