AC bars authorities from declaring Sharjeel Memon as proclaimed offender

KARACHI (92 News) – The Accountability Court has on Thursday stopped authorities from declaring former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon as proclaimed offender in corruption cases worth more than Rs 5 billion.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon appeared before the court.

During the proceedings, the counsel of the former provincial minister requested the court to grant immunity to his client from appearing personally in the court hearing due to his illness.

The PPP leader was seen being helped to walk in the court.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sharjeel Memon is facing corruption allegations worth Rs 5 billion while he had announced to face all the charges.
