KARACHI (92 News) – The Accountability Court (AC) once again issued non-bailable arrest warrants of three accused, including former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon, in Information Department’s corruption case. The court also ordered to arrest Altaf Hussain and Anita Baloch of the information department and present them before the court. The PPP leader Sharjeel Memon is living in self-exile in London for over a year after the law enforcement agencies launched a crackdown against politicians and bureaucrats on various corruption cases. The National Accountability Bureau had filed a corruption reference against Memon, other information department officials and advertising companies’ representatives for illegalities in the process of awarding contracts worth over Rs 5 billion for official Sindh government awareness campaigns for the electronic media.
