Rental power project case: Accountability Court issues arrest warrants for former Pepco MD

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Accountability Court has on Friday issued arrest warrants for former Managing Director and former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf could not be indicted today. The hearing in Sumandri rental power project’s corruption reference was held today. The court remarked that the hearing could not be preceded until the presence of all accused. Talking to media after hearing, former prime minister said that the allegations have been leveled against PTI chairman Imran Khan when even he is doesn’t come in power, while prime minister Nawaz Sharif and chief minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif have also been facing cases. He said that they can defend themselves in the court but they cannot defend themselves in front of media.
