Accountability court issues written judgement in Saaf Pani case

LAHORE (92 News) – Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Sajid Ali on Saturday issued the written judgement in the Saaf Pani case, aquitting 16 accused including PML-N leader Raja Qamar us Salam.

The written order consists of 23 pages. Daughter and son-in-law of PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif and two other accused are still absconding in the case. Waseem Ajmal, Khalid Nadeem Zahoor Ahmad and others also have been aquitted.

The court ruled that prosecution could not proof violation of rules in Saaf Paani project. “All relevant rules and laws were implemented till completion of project. The changes which were made in the project were made by approval of relevant committees,” it added.

On the other hand, PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the detailed verdict of accountability court is a slap on the face of political revenge of the NAB-Niazi nexus.
