Accountability court postpones final arguments in Al-Azizia reference

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Arshad Malik postponed the final arguments scheduled for today in the Al-Azizia reference on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the court has reserved the verdict on whether the defence or the prosecution will start the arguments. The NAB prosecutor said that the accused had presented his defence though the documents and he should start the final arguments. Defence Counsel Khawaja Haris said that the presented documents do not mean the defence. “Nawaz Sharif had said no to the question about the defence. He will not present arguments about the documents in this court or High Court,” he argued. Khawaja Haris said that the documents comprise of the SC order sheets and their applications submitted there. “Had we presented the documents in defence we would have made it part of the record,” he argued.
