MULTAN (92 News) – Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday said that accountability institutions are not working under the influence of the government. Speaking to the journalists, the minister said, “We have no interference in the process of accountability.Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari is aware that we are not pressuring anyone.” To a question related to opposition’s All Parties Conference (APC), he said that the APC of opposition has no any basic agenda, adding that Derailing the democracy is not a positive agenda. “Pakistan’s problems were not created in the last 60 days, even the nation well aware about that who are the responsible of these problems, FM Qureshi said. “Creation of South Punjab province is a necessity which cannot be ignored. The establishing a separate province in South Punjab is part of PTI’s manifesto,” he mentioned. The minister said that a committee has been set up on the issue to develop political consensus as no single party is in a position to bring constitutional amendment to pave the way for the creation of South Punjab province. He also said the committee will hold consultations and will come up with solid recommendations. “These will be put before other opposition parties and we request them to rise above politics and make decision based on objective reality and needs of the people,” he added. To another question, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the APC of the opposition parties should be meaningful and not focused on saving someone. He further said that he does not see any possibility of Governor's Rule in Sindh and it is baseless news.
