LAHORE (92 News) – Adviser to the Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar has said that accountability is equal for all.

Addressing a press conference with Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan on Wednesday, he said that neither no one is pushed to the wall nor anyone is being targetted.

He said that MPs' meetings with Jahangir Tareen are not a big issue. "I would have gone to court with Jahangir Tareen had I not been the adviser," he said.

The adviser said that the legislation made to control the sugar prices will benefit the masses. "The government first time has fixed the sugar price," he added.

Shahzad Akbar said that the previous government had appointed the NAB chairman and no appointment has been made in the FIA. He said that the name of no sugar mill owner had been put on the exit control list.

Speaking on the occasion, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the prime minister had given a clear message by taking action against his colleagues. "Jahangir Tareen's role in the politics of the PTI has not been negated," he said.

She said that Jahangir Tareen had not parted ways with the PTI.
