Accountability judge Muhammad Bashir withdraws application seeking leave until retirement

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Accountability Judge Muhammad Bashir on Saturday withdrew his application seeking leave until his retirement, citing medical reasons.

He withdrew the application after the Law and Justice Department did not accept the application.

On January 20, he had sent the letters to the Islamabad High Court and the Law and Justice Ministry, saying that he could not perform the duty to his poor health. He said that he should be given leave from January 24 to March 14 – the date of his retirement.

Currently he is hearing several important cases, including the £190 million scam and Toshakhana.
