Accurate data about COVID-19 vital in current situation: PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the factual data about COVID-19 is very important in the current situation. Addressing a high-level meeting on Thursday, he said that no negligence will be tolerated with regard to the availability of factual data. He approved an additional one-month salary for the doctors and medical staff working in Islamabad. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan is facing different circumstances as compared to rest of the world, as the country is also fighting a decisive war against poverty and unemployment. He said the government will take further effective steps against coronavirus after minutely observing the steps taken by the global countries against the pandemic. The meeting decided to form a research committee, which would prepare and present its recommendations to the National Coordination Committee (NCC) to cope with coronavirus. The NDMA chairman gave an updated briefing to the prime minister about government's measures to provide medical facilities, including corona kits and ventilators to the hospitals.
