Accused Nawaz's name removed from Marwa murder case

KARACHI (92 News) – The police have removed the name of accused Nawaz from the Marwa murder case. According to the police, no evidence was found against the accused. Meanwhile, the anti-terrorism court sent accused Faiz and Abdullah to jail. In their preliminary statement, both accused have confessed to the crime. A few days back, the body of a five-year-old girl stuffed inside a gunny bag in Karachi's Essa Nagri. She later was identified as Marwah. The PIB Colony police station had registered a case under Sections 302 (premeditated murder), 376 (punishment for rape), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code, read with Section 7 (punishment for acts of terrorism) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
