Accused Zahir Jadoon confesses to killing Maira for 'blackmailing'

LAHORE (92 News) – Accused Zahir Jadoon has confessed to killing Maira for 'blackmailing' him.

In his confessional statement, he said that he had a quarrel with Maira when she was under the influence on May 3 and later she killed her.

The accused said that her friend Iqra knew about the matter.

The police disclosed that Zahir Jadoon had been a friend of Maira since long. "Mahira had moved to Lahore on the pretext of her internship in Dubai and she had not been in contact with her family for two years," the police added.

The police said that Zahir had planned to kill Maira when she started blackmailing her through her videos.

They said that Zahir Jadoon fled to Islamabad after killing her. "Zahir Jadoon's family has an old enmity and Zahir was involved in a murder in the past," they disclosed.
