Acting Governor Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Pakistan-origin US businessman Tahir Javed discuss regional situation

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan-origin US businessman Tahir Javed called on Acting Governor Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi at Governor's House on Wednesday.

They exchanged their views on the Pak-US relations as well as regional security.

Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi said that overseas Pakistanis are playing a key role in the economic progress of the country.

"The government has given the overseas Pakistanis the right to vote. The Overseas Commission is working on resolving the problems of overseas Pakistanis on priority basis," he maintained.

Tahir Javed said that the relations are improving between Pakistan and the United States gradually. "Reservations about several anti-Pakistan bills have been removed in the US Senate," he added.

He said that Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has exemplary relations with the overseas Pakistanis.
