Aerial firing in wedding: FIR lodged against five including three policemen

KARACHI (92 News) – A first information report (FIR) was lodged against five persons including the three police officials for aerial firing in the wedding ceremony in Karachi. In the FIR, groom’s father and uncle was nominated with other three police officials who were reportedly involved in the aerial firing. It is pertinent to mention here that 15-year-old boy was killed and passer-by injured in aerial firing by a policeman during a wedding ceremony on Sunday. A day earlier, a marriage ceremony was underway in Sherpao Colony of Landhi. A policeman identified as Aziz resorted to firing in jubilation. Resulting, a 15-year-old boy was killed on the spot while the other passer-by received wounds. The injured was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Soon after the incident, police immediately reached the site and arrested the suspect from the scene. Earlier, police have apprehended two accused involved in aerial firing in the metropolis. Two more youth yesterday breached the law and order situation in Karachi by indulging in firing in Site area in Karachi. The boys filmed their firing and then uploaded it to their social networking accounts. The police sprung into action after taking notice of the news aired by the 92 News and detained the youth. Weapons were also recovered from their possession.
