NEW YORK – The Afghan warlords have started mistrusting President Ashraf Ghani as political crisis has intensified in Kabul.

In an interview with Wall Street Journal, Ahmed Wali Massoud said that the Afghan forces, commandoes and militia are helpless before Taliban. "Almost all northern areas of Afghanistan are under the control of Taliban who can capture Kabul in a few weeks. The Kabul government and politicians are corrupt," he said.

Ahmed Wali Massoud said that the Afghan forces do not fight for Ashraf Ghani and for this reason, they are surrendering to Taliban. "The Taliban are controlling seven provincial capitals," he added.
