ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Afghanistan is neither fulfilling the right to be a neighbour and a brother country nor it is abiding by the Doha agreement.

In a message on Twitter on Saturday, he said that about 5-6 million Afghans have been living in asylum in Pakistan with all rights for the last 40-50 years.

"To the contrary, the terrorists who shed the blood of Pakistanis have safe havens in Afghanistan. This situation cannot continue any longer. Pakistan will use all its resources to protect its land and citizens, God willing," he maintained.

In another tweet, Khawaja Asif said that those who came to the assembly in the PTI government, briefed the members and explained the benefits of bringing the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Afghanistan to Pakistan and then brought here thousands of people.

"Those people should also now tell something to the heirs of those who are being martyred daily. These were the people who launched Imran Khan's product in 2018 and this product showed the nation the fateful day of May 9. Then they guaranteed that the country would be destroyed in every way for  four years. May Allah Almighty protect this holy land in exchange for the blood of the martyrs, Amen," he prayed.
