Afghanistan's official religion will be Islam, Islamic laws will be enforced: Taliban

KABUL (92 News) – The official religion of Afghanistan will be Islam and Islamic laws will be enforced in the country, said the Taliban in their policy statement issued on Saturday.

It stated that the country's foreign policy will be as per Islamic Shariah and the people will be equally provided basic rights and justice.

The statement said that the solution-seeking issues with neighbours will be resolved peacefully and on priority basis.

Meanwhile, the Taliban have allowed the distribution of humanitarian assistance in Panjsher Valley.

The decision to restore assistance was made during the cabinet meeting chaired by Caretaker PM Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund.
