KARACHI (92 News) – Former Pakistan Cricket team captain Shahid Afridi has on Monday announced to send legal notice to cricket legend Javed Miandad after they exchanged barbs yesterday. Shahid Afridi in his tweet apologized to senior cricketer Javed Miandad for his words after an exchange of hot words between the two cricketing legends. “I regret what I said to a senior but of course I had to eventually react to his behavior,” Afridi said in his tweet. “Javed Miandad is legend of cricket but he used very harsh words on TV for long time. He made personal attack on me for no reason. I tolerated for long time but every person has a limit, sad that Javed Miandad was making personal attacks for long time” he added. Afridi had earlier criticized Miandad, saying Miandad is always hungry for money. “Such a great cricketer should not say things like this. This is the difference between Javed Miandad and Imran Khan,” he said. Afridi also announced playing first-class matches. He also announced to participate in Pakistan Super League. He said he will soon call on Najam Sethi. I am ready to take any sort of help for promoting cricket in Pakistan. I have to live my entire life with the people, not with PCB, he said, and added, “I have no issue if I didn’t get a farewell.” I’ll start practicing to bat and bowl from tomorrow. Responding to this, Javed Miandad said that a great cricketer is one who leaves the sport by time. Afridi has not said the right thing. Allah does not give respect with such an attitude. His demand is over now. He further said, “If I had a problem for money, I would have kept playing cricket. The whole world knows me and Imran Khan.”
