Whether there will be a meeting in Multan tomorrow or not, if so, at what place, the PDM leadership will discuss during the session under the chair of Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

The JUI-F chief will preside over a key meeting over arrest of workers ahead of Multan rally scheduled on November 30.

According to the sources, former premier and PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gillani, Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) leader Maulana Anas Noorani, PML-N member Rana Sanaullah and others will participate in the session.

The move came after local government arrested Gillani's sons and dozens workers over clash with police officers deployed at Multan’s Qilla Kohna Qasim Bagh.

The opposition leaders will address a press conference after holding consultations to announce the next strategy.

Multan administration takes control of Qasim Bagh

The Multan administration has taken again the control of Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh stadium and sealed the routes.

The security personnel arrested various Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders and workers belonging to different political parties including Kasim Gillani, the son of ex-premier Yousaf Raza Gillani after they stormed into the venue by removing barriers on Sunday.

Multan police and administration blocked the central routes of the Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh stadium and removed the tents, chairs and other equipment from the venue of the PDM rally. At this time, no PDM leaders or workers are present at the rally’s venue.
