After PTI, PPP demands resignation of all ECP members
July 26, 2015
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - A day after the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan demanded resignations of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) members, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Saturday demanded the same in light of the Inquiry Commission's report. According to details, PPP Secretary Information Qamar Zaman Kaira said that the demand of resignation from ECP members is justified. "The ECP members should exhibit morality by willingly stepping down," he said talking to media men in Islamabad. "The Election Commission completely failed to stop rigging in the general election 2013." Qamar Zaman said the ECP comprises four members and Chief Election Commissioner, adding that the whole responsibility of conducting free and fair election was of the commission and therefore the demand of resignation is justified.
