Agreement signed between banned TLP and govt

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Dialogues had been successful between the banned TLP and the government.

This was stated by religious scholars and government representatives during a joint press conference on Sunday.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the scholars saved the country by responding with a reasonable behavior. Mufti Muneebur Rehman said that full implementation of the agreement has been assured.

Furthermore, a steering committee has been formed to oversee the agreement. Minister of State Ali Muhammad Khan will head the committee, while former member District Council Rawalpindi Raja Basharat will be its member.

The details of the agreement were not disclosed at the press conference. Mufti Muneebur Rehman said that the details would be revealed in a due course.
