Ahsan Iqbal indicted in Narowal Sports City case
LAHORE (92 News) - An accountability court in Islamabad has indicted former interior minister and PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal in the Narowal Sports City case.
Ahsan Iqbal appeared in the court today as the charges were read out against him. However, he has denied them.
Iqbal is accused of causing losses worth billions to the national exchequer by initiating the sports city project in his home constituency. He has been accused of misusing his powers and embezzling funds.
Ahsan Iqbal termed the references as false and responsible for misconduct, while Shahid Khaqan Abbasi again accused the government of lying.
