Ahsan Iqbal predicts fresh, transparent election in 2020

LAHORE (92 News) – PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that fresh and transparent election will be held in 2020. Talking to the media after a meeting of the Rahbar Committee on Tuesday, he said that the opposition had decided to advance with a joint strategy. “We have to secure the future of the poor and labour. There should be no delay in the departure of the government,” he said. He said that now A Plus plan had started. ANP leader Mian Iftikhar said that the government had changed its accent soon after the departure of Maulana Fazlur Rehman. “The rulers do not how to talk,” he said. Rahbar Committee chairman Akram Durrani said that the opposition would go to the Election Commission of Pakistan for early hearing of the foreign funding case. “The PM speech was depicting nervousness,” he said. He said that the workers would open all roads from today and protest meetings would be held at the district level. “The Rahbar Committee has proposed to convene an all parties conference (APC). We ask Maulana Fazlur Rehman to fix a date for the proposed APC,” he said.
